About the Opportunity
IMT Precision has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Program Manager, based in Ingersoll, ON.
In this dynamic new role, reporting to the Vice President, you will oversee and manage Defence contracts with a focus on both Canadian and U.S. programs.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the entire lifecycle of defence contracts to ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. regulations
- Leading the development and submission of competitive proposals in response to defence solicitations from both Canadian and U.S. entities
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams, to encourage collaboration and effective communication
- Preparing and leading weekly Program reviews, including both internal executive reviews and external customer reviews
- Identifying, assessing, and proactively mitigating risks associated with defence contracts
- Managing project budgets effectively, ensuring financial compliance and adherence to contractual obligations
- Implementing robust performance monitoring systems to track project milestones, deliverables, and overall program success
- Travelling occasionally as per business needs
- Supporting our dedicated team of engineers and staff members
- Handling other duties as assigned
More About You
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Management, or a related field, with at least 7 years of contract management experience, preferably in Defence.
IMT employees must meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program security requirements; therefore, the following is required:
- Ability to undergo a Criminal Records Check
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance to the minimum security level of Reliability Status

- Profound understanding of Canadian and U.S. defence procurement regulations, policies, and procedures
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying complex information
- Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, ensuring the achievement of project goals
- Adaptability to changing priorities and adept navigation of dynamic environments in defence contracting
- Willingness to travel occasionally
