About the Opportunity
IMT Precision has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor, Manufacturing, based in Ingersoll, ON. This role may involve a 2-week rotating shift pattern, which includes midnights, mornings, and daytime shifts.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, and collaborating with the other Maintenance Supervisors, you will primarily be responsible for leading the unionized maintenance employees, including scheduling and directing daily maintenance activities for millwright, electricians and tool room personnel.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring an effective preventative maintenance schedule
- Scheduling work assignments for maintenance teams
- Organizing monthly safety meetings to ensure workplace safety standards
- Coordinating vacation schedules for staff members
- Maintaining and updating preventative maintenance software systems, such as MaintainX
- Overseeing maintenance inventory control to ensure resource availability
- Managing daily log systems (ODLs) to track maintenance activities
- Assigning and managing project-based work as required
- Coordinating with outside vendors for specialized work
- Ensuring building security and safety protocols are upheld
- Monitoring and adapting maintenance strategies for efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams for integrated maintenance efforts
More About You
To qualify for this position, you will have 5+ years of industry experience in trades including electrical work, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, mechanics, or a comparable field. Additionally, technical training or certification in a related discipline is highly desirable.
Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must have citizenship or permanent residency.
IMT employees must meet Canadian Controlled Goods Program security requirements; therefore, it is required for you to undergo a Criminal Records Check.
The following skills and experience will be strong attributes:
- Proficiency in Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems
- Genuine interest in maintenance and its processes
- Capability to design plant improvements and establish preventive maintenance programs
- Expertise in standardizing procedures across various operations
- Flexibility to adapt to adjustable work schedules
- Understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of Labour Relations and familiarity with current Collective Agreements
- Requirement of a valid First-Aid/CPR Certificate
- Adaptability in managing multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment
