About the Opportunity

IMT Group is looking for a full-time HR Generalist based in Kitchener, Ontario.

Reporting to the Corporate HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws while fostering a positive and efficient workplace.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, training, compliance, and contributing to strategic HR initiatives.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and updating employee records in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data privacy
  • Preparing and managing HR documentation, including employment contracts and employee status changes
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to post job advertisements, screen candidates, and coordinate recruitment efforts
  • Facilitating onboarding processes and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires
  • Coordinating training programs, managing learning platforms, and tracking participation
  • Serving as the first point of contact for employee questions and resolving routine employee concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies through accurate records and communications
  • Assisting with HR projects and initiatives, including employee communications and policy updates

About You

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, with 4+ years of experience in a generalist HR role or a similar position.

Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must have citizenship or permanent residency.  

The following skills and experience will be strong attributes:

  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and LinkedIn platforms
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR principles
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, and training programs
  • Analytical skills for generating and interpreting HR metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and implement innovative HR strategies
  • Adaptability to adjust priorities and respond effectively to changing business needs
