About the Opportunity

IMT Precision has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Plant Operations Manager, based in Ingersoll, ON

Reporting to the Vice President, this is a hands-on operational leadership role overseeing all production, maintenance, and production planning across two manufacturing facilities. You’ll lead day-to-day operations, drive performance, and support ongoing ramp-up initiatives in a growing, evolving, and increasingly complex manufacturing environment.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and coordinating operational activities across both facilities
  • Overseeing production, maintenance, and production planning functions to ensure efficient output
  • Supporting ramp-up, start-up challenges, and large-scale project execution, including equipment reliability initiatives
  • Developing and implementing short and long-term operational plans to support growth objectives
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with department managers to set expectations, track results, and hold teams accountable
  • Building productive relationships with unionized teams and strengthening labour relations
  • Creating and maintaining operational reporting and KPIs to evaluate performance and drive improvements
  • Ensuring equipment, tooling, and supply requirements are in place to support uninterrupted operations
  • Upholding health, safety, and compliance standards across all manufacturing activities

More About You

To qualify, you will need 10+ years of related experience in manufacturing or industrial production operations and experience overseeing production, maintenance, and/or production planning functions. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required to travel between sites.

Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must have citizenship or permanent residency.  

The following skills and experience will be strong attributes:

  • Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Background in steel, heavy industrial, or automated/robotic production settings
  • Strong project management and continuous improvement experience
  • Familiarity with equipment reliability, maintenance planning, and operational KPIs
  • Experience supporting start-up or ramp-up phases within a growing organization
  • Understanding of the Controlled Goods Program (or willingness to obtain clearance)
